:The pillars of Islam are five
To bear witness that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah and that Mohammed is the messenger of Allah and that he was sent by Allah to teach us his religion
To establish Sallat (prayer): that is to perform it correctly and sincerely with humility
To pay Zakat (a certain fixed proportion of the wealth): zakat must be payed yearly for the benefit of the poor in the Muslim community
Fasting: during the month of Ramadan (Lunar month), by avoiding food, drink and sexual intercourses from dawn to dusk
1 And to perform Hejj (to make pilgrimage to the house of Allah the sacred mosque at Meca but if he/she is able to make this journey
