Just an opinion
Former Justice Minister and incumbent Presidential Elections Control Committee, Mohamed Tekia, has not found any other incident to record, in the Day III of Presidentials Campaign, but to say that the candidates have offended the Administration, when they hadn’t notified competent authorities to prepare for them halls and public squares supposed to hold their rallies!
The second offence, according to the same source, is that “some newspapers tend to nickname the candidates ‘bunnies.’” He had urged implementing the law on this issue! As far as the third offence, Tekia said it concerns candidates who resort to the press when it comes to make complains, rather than Presidential Elections Control Committee! Well it seems all offences that have been recorded so far fall all in the favour of President-candidate Abdelaziz Bouteflika, for the latter is the one who organizes for himself elections; chosen his own opponents; scheduled them time to appear in the government TV channel to display their manifestos; ordered the Administration to prepare halls to hold their rallies and finally decided installing a commission in charge of controlling elections, although nobody has required it!
However, I exclude that Tekia’s commission would dare recording any other offences since it plays the blind when it comes to those (offences) being witnissed each morning by citizens, including busses of National Solidarity Ministry carrying the logo of state owned company Naftal associated with pictures and posters of Bouteflika! Such a spot is a clear offence against the constitution, and banned by all local and international laws; for it’s absurd that a state owned company supports a candidate in any kind of elections, simply because such a company is the property of nobody, but of the Algerian State.
Mohamed Tekia cannot take down such an offence, for Bouteflika has allocated him a position that has brought him back on stage after being forgotten by everybody, since he left Justice Ministry! Yet, I don’t think there’s a rule saying Algerians forget anybody leaving responsible position; but rather, there’s a regulation, confirmed by experience, saying forgotten former officials are those who didn’t managed leaving something to talk about them after they leave office!
Such a comeback!
