How to deal with a reading course

first of all i hope that my articles or topics benifit my colleagues in this forum.Reading Course
you have many steps you must go on to teach this kind of lessons
Try to imagine a realistic situation to your reading passage .Then tell the general idea of the teaxt orrally so to let your pupils be involved and get at least 20% - of your lessons within the introduction try to present some new words which tell about the general meaning of your text.After that set 2 or 3 main questions on the board .as filling gaps or short answers .Then read your text loudly the pupils book must be shut to develop the listening skills .While reading try to focus on the required answers .when your pupils answer ask them to open their books and read silently the text and then read the text loudly to correct the pronunciation mistakes and there fore to do a detailed reading where you should write a sum up of the course on the board
These are the steps : warm up -introduction of some new lexis - 2 general questions - explanation of the rest of the new words - 2 nd reading detailed questions -sum up of the reading passage

Thanks so much for the good topics sir.But excuse me,I don't agree with you concerning the reading loudly.In our new approach the teacher must not read the text at all.The teacher gives the text to thepupilsnad the pupils read silently there is no reading loudly either for the pupils nor for the teacher.

the reading course is devided into three parts

part1:pre-reading in which you introduce the pupils to the content of the text for example if the text talks about summer holiday you'll ask them what do you do in summer and so on and so forth and during that as well you introduce the new words and write them on the board.
part2:during reading you give the text to the kids and let them read silently giving them a task to do .

part3:after-reading:here the pupils must produce something they might write about their own summer vacations as an example.

I don't know that's the way we work.

that's my humble experience about teaching and ,of course,you are much more experienced than me.

each inspector has his opinion there was an inspector with us from Oum El bouaki told us a thing now one from El oued tells an other but the reading loud for the teacher is to correct pronunciation mistakes for the pupils before you ask questions about the text ...i see that it s a bit hard to pronounce some new words if they don t hear their teacher speak or utter it

Ok lemme tell you something.we all know that the teaching sessions are devided into sequences and each sequence has at least3 lessons.Lesson1;listen and speak
here you have to correct pupils' pronunciation ,pupils are allowed to read loudly to interact coz our aim here is to assess their speaking abilities.
Lesson2:practice
at this level we have to introduce the grammar rule in hand implicitly ,of course,using all the other skills .An integration of skills
we come to the last lesson.
lesson3:Read and write here our aim is to assess leaners reading abilities do they understand words or not,can they answer questions or not and we should make them produce something at the end as I said in the previous reply.
So what I want to say is that each lesson has it's own speciality has it's own aim and objective.
 
it s a true but put in mind you not slaved or tied totally to the book syllabus you ve

yes cute angel ur method is the right one
all the inspectors now are following it
it s an american method nd the algerian teachers started using it just after 2006
we have two types of lessons
ppu
nd pdp
the pdp is the one u talked about
nd the ppu is the one when we have sth to present such as grammar points here we v to pesent then do some practice ( guided practice) after that we moove to the use phase in which we deal with free practice or sht new but related to the function
by the way the pdp can be sth to be listend or read
