Hi everybody
my tpic is about the verbs hear and listen that have tha same meaning but diffrent use
Hear is a verb. It means to perceive (sound) via the auditory sense; to receive or become aware of a sound using your ears without making an effort in order to do that; it also means to get to know or become aware of, usually accidentally.
Listen is also a verb. It means pay attention to a sound; to give attention to someone or something in order to hear them, so you make an effort in order to hear something properly.
Examples:
We heard nothing from our son for five years.
I heard that she has two grown-up children.
She heard a noise outside.
Listen to your parents.
I'm listening to my favourite song.
She listened to the noise and realised it was only a cat.
and this is a quiz to keep the lesson in mind
